Is having your music succeed on Tik Tok the only way to gain traction as an artist? New data says that – for the most part – it is.
Tik Tok has just released its annual Music Impact Report, which is carried out in conjunction with music market researchers Luminate. The standout figures from their report tell us that nearly all the music that reached Billboard’s global 200 last year also went viral on Tik Tok.
So, what does this mean for artists and music in 2025? We do our best to answer that question and pose a few more of our own in this episode.
We also give a few updates on festivals in Australia, with some concerning silence coming out of one Central Coast based event.
