Finally! NSW Gov's 24-Hour Economy Plan to Revitalise Sydney | Music News
The 24-Hour Economy Strategy is the New South Wales government’s new action plan to help the “24-hour economy to thrive”. There are five key points to it and each, the government says, will target a distinct opportunity for the city.
Basically, the 24-Hour Economy Strategy is the government’s plan to give Sydney’s nightlife, live music scene, and economy, in general, a helping hand to get back on its feet.
They’ve outlined a decent list of ways they’re planning to do it, which we outline in this podcast. The main takeaways though are reviewing the current regulations for live music venues around noise and liquor licensing, relaxing regulations for food trucks and pop up stalls, and they’re planning to support “globally significant events”, both homegrown and international.
As well as that, they’re also saying they’ll be extending late-night public transport options and plan to enhance parking options for the nighttime hubs.
