
FOMO Into Liquidation and Social Distancing Gigs | Music News
It was reported last week that the FOMO Music Festival will no go ahead in 2020 – not because of COVID-19 – but because the company has gone into liquidation. In the music news we discuss the reasons for this, as well as potential solutions to stop future festivals suffering the same fate of mismanagement which we have seen before (most notably Big Day Out). We also discuss the exciting return of live music in New Zealand – although strict social distancing measure were in place. We compare what happened in New Zealand to Australia and if we could be seeing live gigs in the not-too-distant future, even though we might have to stay 1.5 metres apart.
