Bootleg Rascal – Bucket of Cutlery

This one goes off the rails a bit, but it's good fun! And we'd expect nothing less from Bootleg Rascal, who joined us for a chat.

We start by discussing the cons of playing a New Years gig, and how the best of intentions can go out the window. The duo also tell us of a bad experience in the UK, before we talk about the creative process behind their music, and their evolving sound as they prepare for an upcoming album. They emphasise the importance of fun and spontaneity in their music-making, reflecting on how their artistic philosophy has shaped their work and live performances.

We also discuss how Central Coast pubs and crowds differ to those around the country, how Carlos' technical wizardry starts and ends with HDMI cables, and the originality of our questions comes under the spotlight when we ask them about their band name.
